Clifton Pump & Haul Facility

 

 

Scope – This project replaced the three existing sanitary sewer collection tanks at the end of Chapel Street near the railroad tracks. These tanks were installed at different times during the past forty years. The project includes the construction of one concrete sanitary sewer collection vault, a new pumping system and landscaping improvements. The County is funding the project.

 

Schedule – The project had a six-month schedule that is targeted to complete in mid September. All construction work was done Monday through Friday between 7AM to 7 PM. All work is being done in conformance with the Town ordinance and use permit requirements.

 

Eight-Acre Park – The access bridge to the park is closed due to flood damage. The access road and area in the vicinity of the bridge to the park is outside the construction zone for the new tank.

 

Project Status – November 7, 2006: The project was completed in mid October.
